I was on the freshmen basketball team that coach Nevill coached as well as a pre calculus student. He was just solid and a great teacher.
Mr. Nevill was an amazing teacher at all times. He was responsible for 10 hours of an A grade at the U of I in calculus. He had only taught me precalculus, but it was still review for me. Tremendous teacher. Prayers for all in the family.
Mr. Nevill was a great math teacher -- I was not his best student at first but came to love calculus because of him. My father, who was the school superintendent, also respected him and his dedication both to students and athletes.
For many Mr. Nevill was also Coach Nevill. He coached the freshman basketball teams at MacArthur for at least several years. He was well liked and respected by every player on the team. Prayers for his family and friends.
Mr. Nevill was my Calculus teacher, and he really pushed me. I was given a math award during my senior year, and he presented it to me.
Bob was a great math teacher and friend. My husband and I taught with him for many years. He was a kind Christian man who loved people and always wore a big smile. His influence will radiate for years to come.
May happy memories fill your thoughts. Bob will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
