Colleen Douglas & Ann Jones
Dear Sheila, Bill, Martha, Patrica, John and Tom: For several years now we have watched from the sidelines as you have gone to extraordinary measures as a family to care for both your mom and your dad. Tethered by her enormous love for you has somehow given you the sheer will to come together over and over and make just the right decision for the best care possible for her. Ann and I were fortunate enough to see her one last time just a few months ago, and she did not disappoint. She was as welcoming as she had always been, full of grace and joy and thankful for the short visit. She seemed to soak up the love, and kind words given her but never took more than she gave back. What a wonderful mother she must have been and how lucky you were to have her as long as you did and be able to give back in the loving way you did. We are so happy to have known her even a little and so sorry not to have been part of her final goodbye. We look forward to Shelia's sharing of ALL the Lampkin antics that took place in Decatur, and imagine that it was a fabulous send off. Fondly, Colleen Douglas & Ann Jones
