Pat, sending condolences to your and the family following Bud's death. My sister, Joan, who still lives in Decatur keeps me current on such matters. As you know Bud and I were classmates from first grade through high school and we even ended up at Millikin. My education took a bit longer than his as I finally got my undergrad about the time he got his masters. We spent a considerable amount of time together as we both lived on North Union Street and the Grant's home was always open. We were slightly mischevious in our younger years as we delighted in shorting the bells and lights at the interurban crossing and am sure were a pain in the neck as we participated in the summer recreation activities at good ole Oglesby playground. We encouraged each other to take typing at STHS so neither of us would be the only male in the class. Those lessons served me well as I did my military service, when finishing Millikin and then when I started my work for the Red Cross before the era of computers…. Had hoped to see Bud and the Peters Boys!!etc at the upcoming reunion. Pat, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.Fred and Nancy Luckenbill ROCK ISLAND, IL US
