Elizabeth Opal Conour, 76, of Decatur, IL, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL. 

Elizabeth was born January 7, 1942 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of George and Dorothy (Sutton) Sulwer. Elizabeth had worked as a secretary for Mueller and Company and worked at other various jobs.  She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.  She loved cooking and spending time with family and friends.  She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football, basketball and baseball. 

Surviving are her children, Jeffrey Scott Conour of Decatur, IL, Jeremy Conour (Jackie) of Dalton, City; siblings, Louie Sulwer (Carol) of Oakley, IL, Mike Sulwer of St. Louis, MO, Mary Ann Lutes (Ed) of Decatur, IL, Helen Sulwer of Cerro Gordo, IL; grandchildren, Austin Conour, Brooke Conour and Gaige Conour. 

Preceding in death are her parents, siblings, George Sulwer, Jr, Joe Sulwer, Dorothy Van Horn and Cindy Plumb. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church.  Burial will be held at Macon County Memorial Park. 

The Moran and Goebel Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Elizabeth.  Condolences may be left to her family at
