To my sister I miss you a lot wishing you was still here.
We did not know Brenda, but we do know the wonderful influence her kindness and caring had on our daughter, Nicole, when she worked with Brenda at Decatur Memorial Hospital. When we helped move Nicole to South Dakota, her home state, the angel statue that Brenda gave Nicole was given the utmost care on the journey because it was a special gift that symbolizes the angel that Brenda was for our daughter and is now. Our prayers are with you. Jim and Yolonda Soyer, Pierre, SD
Brenda was a great mentor and example to me as a nurse at Decatur Memorial. I have many very fond memories of laughing with her on the night shift. Her kind spirit will always be with me. Sincerest sympathies to her family during this difficult time.
Deacon and Mother Davis and Family; I cannot fathom the loss of a mother and father's pain at this time. I offer my deepest heart-felt condolences. Deacon and Mother Davis, you both did a fine job in raising all of your children! Brenda was an angel, that God allowed to be in our presence, for a while, always with a smile, and true to her parents, honoring both, and willing to do anything for them. It didn't stop there. She was a nurse, touching many people's lives along the way. The memories of Brenda will go on and on, through her family, friends and co-workers. An amazing child of God, I am proud to have called her my Sister in Christ. You all will be in our fervent prayers, and should you need anything, please do not hesitate to contact us. With Our Deepest Sympathy, Ben & Mother Betty & Family
Brenda had such a kind spirit and a great laugh. She was great with any conflicts we had with patients and families. She always took time to see how you REALLY were. She was loved by us all.

Brenda was a great role model for the nurses at DMH. She was ever so kind and always there to help. When I came to DMH 11 years ago and met Brenda I was struck by her calmness in a crisis and her supportiveness in all situations. Since her illness there has been a void at the hospital. Hopefully we will met again in paradise and it is comfort to know she is no longer in pain and with her maker. Heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family at this time.Marty A. Johnson
My heart felt of sorrow for Brenda and her family.Proverbs 3:5"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." I know that with the help of the Lord Jesues Christ, for strenght for her family. from the Harris family Eric, Elaine & Eric Jr.
Davis Family on behalf our mother Betty Lewis, Kay Risby, Marcia Risby, and myself Tracey Risby we offer our most heartfelt condolences to the family. We were close as children and the thought of Brenda no longer being here has been an undeniable loss for us all. Brenda was such a sweet and kind spirit that her absence leaves such a massive blow to the human race. Rest dear sweet Brenda, Rest!!
