Dear Kathy,I just learned of your father's death from Kathy Gainer. I am so sorry for your loss. Reading his obituary, WOW, I wish I had known him. My dad died just the week before yours, and my greatest comfort, along with all my memories, has been hearing all the good things others had to say about him and knowing they were praying/thinking of him and the family. Please know you, your dad, and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Ange, Kathy, Angela, Maria and David, I feel your loss. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to each of you. I know how much he will be missed.in your lives. I will miss him too. I am remembering with love so many years ago when our children were growing up. We shared so many happy times together. Great memories
We are so sorry for the loss of Dewey! We will certainly miss our visits after dinner trying to settle the woes of the world these past few months. He was a brave man to keep his spirit of life alive until the final days. He is finally at peace and pain free. We will always have a place in our hearts along with his caring wife Ange who was by his side throughout his journey! Our memories include living 3 months- at the Barr house, in between moves, at least 50 years ago and the boys not wanting to move out! Will never buy a tomato without thinking of Deweys wonderful garden. So many good memories to share, not enough space. Rest In Peace, Dew Bird. Jim, Barb and Family
Uncle Dewey, RIP. You are loved and will be missed by a big extended family you left behind. Aunt Ange, Kathy, Angie, Maria, David, my deepest sympathy. You're going to feel this loss forever and I hope that will be softened by your memories and realizations of the parts of him that live forever in you. My own special memories include the childhood vacations and visits shared by the Barrs and Richisons and the summers he and Aunt Ange let me stay with you. The checkered cab I still consider my first car–he turned the keys over to me for the summer as the designated teen driver! And I'm so glad he was able this year to see his Cubbies win that Series! I loved Uncle Dewey. He was fun to be around. He loved life and he laughed and smiled a lot. I regret not being able to spend more time with him. I will miss him. My heart goes out to Aunt Ange, Kathy, Angie, Maria, David, and all your loved ones. I know you all miss him already. Like me, you must be relieved that he is not suffering.
