Marcia Lynn Westfall, Ridgeway was born in Pittsfield, Pike Co., IL on 7 Jan., 1953, the daughter of Fay Arthur & Loretta Viola Goodwin, Westfall. Marcia was a daughter, Big Sister, Cousin, Wife, Mother, Aunt & Friend. She gave of herself, in each of her relationships, and in every case, a full measure of her heart & soul. Marcia was a Christian by faith and accepted Jesus as her Saviour at the age of 12. Marcia was an excellent student, she attended Elementary School in Eldara, IL, Quincy, IL Senior High and attained her High School diploma in Carmi, Illinois Township High school, while a resident & Den Mother & Cook at the Carmi Baptist Children's Home. Marcia’s work ethics were very strong, she excelled in every vocation she worked in. While in High School in Quincy, at the age of 15, she worked part time in a Restaurant, later she worked in the Poultry Industry at DeKalb Ag Research in Illiopolis, IL. She became a licensed beautician through the Flamingo Beauty College of Springfield, IL. She also operated the R & E Cafe in Mt. Auburn, IL, and worked as a Beautician at the same time. She later attended Nursing school at the Decatur, IL Area Vocational Center, became an LPN which was one of her Proudest accomplishments. As an LPN She worked in the following institutions, The Decatur Memorial Hospital, St. Vincent Memorial Hospital in Taylorville, IL, Springfield Clinic, Harrisburg Medical Center, the Saline Care Center in Harrisburg, IL & the Moweaqua Rehab & Health Center. She loved to do Arts and Crafts as a hobby, and actually sold many of her creations. Marcia was first married to Barnel Ray Carter II, one son Barnel Ray Carter III blessed this union, her second marriage to Edward Kenneth Smith Sr., was blessed with the birth of son Edward Kenneth Smith II. Both Sons were loved, nurtured & blessed by her consistent loving presence, able guidance, unfaltering loyalty and fortitude. Marcia was married for the third time to Homer Ealey with whom she was Co-owner of the R & E Cafe in Mt. Auburn. Marcia remained in close contact with Homer’s Family. She was last married to Ron Ridgeway who survives. Marcia Leaves to celebrate her life and mourn her passing her Son’s, Barnell Ray & Wife Nancy Hutchins, Carter III & Family of Mt. Auburn, IL and Edward Kenneth & Wife Cindy Quick, Smith II & Family of Decatur, IL. A Brother Gregory & wife Jessie Westfall & children 1. Karen & Brian Davis & sons B. J., Dillon & Ethan Davis, 2. Heather & Jeremey Johnson & 3. Joshua & Jackie Westfall all of Saline Co., IL and Marcia’s youngest Brother Fay E. “Jack” Westfall and Family of Hornsby, IL a whole host of half brother’s & sister’s, an Aunt Joyce Fusselman of Baylis, IL & Uncle Lester Westfall of Springfield, IL and many cousins and other relatives from the Goodwin & Westfall Families, Special Friends Mike & Kathy Hutchins of Mt. Auburn, and many lifelong friends and co-workers all too numerous to mention. Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren; Ray Carter’s Family: Kendra, Katy & Clare Carter, Samantha & Matthew Steele. Edward Smith’s Family: Skyler Gist & Children, Harvest & Ezra Gist, Eryka Smith & Austin Smith & son Carter Ray Smith, Cheyenne Quick & son Karter, Shelby Gentry & son Ayden, Homer Ealey’s Children & Grandchildren: Becky (her daughter Angie Kohl) Rod & Paula Ealey (their children, Heath & Heather Ealey) Gena Ealey & Children; Jamie, Travis & Larry Logan. Marcia is loved & respected by all who know her and she will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by one and all. A Visitation will be held for Marcia Saturday April 30, 2022 from 9:00a.m.- 11:00a.m. at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. also Saturday, April 30, 2022 with burial to follow the funeral service at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
