Please know I'm thinking of you at this time. Jan and Julie, we had such fond early memories in Decatur. I wish I could be there for the service today. I'm sending love from all the California Melnik family. -Marcy Melnik Fry
Our deepest condolences to the Susler family. We never met Marshall but between between the two of us, we have met all of his daughters and have heard wonderful things about his son. What a loving and generous family. Jan is our dear dear friend and her spirit of caring and toughness in the face if injustice, must have come from her dear dad. We will keep the family in our thoughts. — Barbara Ransby and Peter Sporn
As a high school friend of David Susler, I would say that the Susler family (and Marshall in particular) were the epitome of (what I like to call) "Jewish Warmth." I remember how David would often explain Jewish ideologies and quote Jewish sayings. After meeting and experiencing Marshall and his families values, it all made sense to me. This was a man who lived his faith. Marshall always took one extra step to help me in anyway he could. I will always remember him.
In loving memory of my oldest cousin Marshall and Beverly I didn't really know Sharna very well being Jerome's youngest. I remember the days we would drive to Decatur and I thought the whole town was related. Marshall had always made me welcomed when we would be visiting them in their home or at Uncle Sewell's home. He would be their for our family when times were sadden with the passing of family members always a smile and a ear to listen. He would laugh when my daughter would call to find out family history and would graciously answer her questions. He will be missed.
Thinking of you , and lifting you up in prayer David .I lost my father little over a year ago, and it is a wound that doesn't go away.Peace and strength be with you and your family,Kent A. Riddle
We have always admired Marshall for all his community activities, his friendly attitude and his genuine personality. Eileen, we know you have been a God-send to him. We will miss seeing him at decatur events.Sincerely, Paul and Verlyn Rosenberger
I am deeply saddened, but have fond memories. I was lucky to have visited with Marshall last summer while in Decatur. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.Debby Greenberg Mayer, Phoenix, AZ
