Richard and I grew up together. I entered in a legacy book on the H&R but it disappeared. Pls. know how much I always respected the courage of Richard when, as a boy, he and Herman contracted polio. It was a tough time for the Carlson family but Richard beat the odds and lived a great life. Ellisville, MO US
John I am so sorry for your loss. Every now and then when I see our football highlight tape I always see your Dad wearing the T-shirt that says Moweaqua 9-0 before we were. He was always so nice to everyone of us, I will always remember that about him. Maroa, IL US
Rich worked at Argenta-Oreana Middle School my very first year of teaching. We had so many laughs together; one that I distinctly remember is I was sitting at my desk on a snowy winter day, when someone knocked on my door and as I stood up to answer it, Rich drilled my with a snow ball right in the chest. Needless to say, the class was up for grabs! I also, remember Rich as an outstanding official who worked games in which I played. I am so sorry for your loss, we have lost a beauty! Princeton, IL US
Rich and I go way back, to my Lakeview High School days, when he worked for DPS 61 Maintenance and I was teaching/coaching there. He was a good guy who I considered a friend. My condolences to the family Decatur Ocala, FL, IL US
