What a wonderful person who has stepped peacefully into his permanent home, and now waiting for his family to follow. I worked with Dick at PPG while he was in the Storeroom. I was new; he was patience with my many questions. A truly dear person. My sincere condolences to his family. Mt.Zion, IL US
Dear Kay and kids,It is with great sadness that I read of Dick's passing. I've got so many memories… from the Garfield Boy's Baseball games to cub scouting and my folks coming over for coffee and chit chat. Dick and my dad were much the same and kept us kids in line. God bless you. Arnold, MO US
Kay and family,Have thought about you many times over the years and regret not keeping in touch. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time Decatur, IL US

Dear Kay, Becky, Rick, Peggy, Jeff, and JulieFirst I want to send to you my deepest and dearest heartfelt sympathy's. We grew up together and spent a good portion of our lives together, which I hold dear, until the day that life itself had different plans for all of us. Though through the years that we have been apart, thoughts of you have always been near. I would like to share with you a poem that I shared with my sister when my Mother passed:The tears will flow, thoughts of him will grow.Keep them dear, for Dad is near. He is in our thoughts, our minds, our hearts. He planted a seed, that one day we would need.Although I am not there, don't despair.I will never leave you.Remember the good, forget the bad. Look to the sky, but don't you cry, for I am the wind, the rain, the moon, the stars. But most of all I am yours!God has choosen to call Dick home, for his job here is done. Even though he will be missed, look at the lives, including my own, that he has touched and made a difference in.Dick,You will be missed, but always in my heart. God Bless You.Our prayers and blessings are with all of you. Love, Sandy and Jeff Wilson, NC US
Dick and Family,Dick you were the first person that took me on a tour of the plant when I first hired in back in 1984. You were a privelage to work with and I especially loved your little temper tantrums when you would take off your glasses and throw them on your desk! Yes, I can stil picture you doing that! You also trained me for your position when you retired from PPG. I've learned alot since you retired, and I'm sure much more will come. You were a pleasure to be around and work with. We here at PPG still talk about you. People still tell me that "Dick would have done this, or Dick would have done that". And I just laugh. What can I say? You made an impression with those you worked with for 31 years. You are definately remembered. Your family was so lucky to have you. I'm sure they will miss you terribly. Especially Tiffany. I remember you talking about her alot. My prayers are with your family right now. Peace be with you all. Mt. Zion, IL US
