Michael, David and family,It is with deep regrets that I will not be able to attend the visitation or funeral because of health reasons, It was my pleasure to become friends with George at Habit projects and it lasted for over 20 years. George was a leader at Habitat and was always available to answer questions. It was my pleasure to know and work with George.Norm
I’m sorry to hear of George’s passing. He was a good friend and neighbor to my parents and sister, George, Lavena and Carol Hill. You have my deepest sympathy.
My husband, Jesse Parsons, worked with George at Habitat for Humanity for many years. He respected and enjoyed him very much. I’m sure he would have a good story to tell. My prayers are that you find peace in your memories. Not many of the “old” crew left at Habitat!
I worked with George building houses for Habitat and from the first day I showed up he was helpful and very patient with me.I learned SO much from him – about fixing things, building things and life in general. He shared Ruby’s rhubarb cake recipe with me and often shared rhubarb from his garden with me – that’s how I got the nickname “Rhubarb”.I feel very blessed to have had him in my life and I will miss him but will never forget him.Sincerely,Barb Janes
George and Ruby were truly the perfect couple. Friends with my parents, George was always ready to assist any individual in distress.Wonderful couple/wonderful family. Was privileged to have worked on several jobs with George, as I am a retired electrician.
I worked with George and his crew on the PPG job when I was an apprentice Ironworker. He was always nice to me and I enjoyed working for him. God Speed, George.
Mike, Karen and family, so sorry to hear of the loss of your Father. Sending you prayers and love at this very sad time.
Thinking of George makes me think of the old neighborhood. George and Ruby always made you feel welcome. Thoughts and prayers to the entire family. Rest in peace George.
