Ada Burris, 60, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Ada was born December 18, 1955 in Sledge, Mississippi, the daughter of Matthew and Betty (Wilson) Burries. She was a member and usher at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed church and playing Bingo..
Ada leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters Carolyn Currin, Sheila Burries, Stephanie (Calvin) Whitfield, and Tamia (Jason) Taylor, special friend Donnie “Cookie” Baker, special sons Willie Ewing and Gary Currin Sr., three brothers, four sisters, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ada was greeted into Heaven by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at DMH and McKinley Court for all of their loving care and support.
Homegoing services to celebrate Ada’s life will be 1 PM Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Pastor Alfonso Hodges officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services.
