Albert Lee Jones' Obituary
Albert Lee Jones, 68, of Decatur, IL passed away April 3, 2026 at Sullivan Healthcare and Senior Living. Albert was born July 31, 1957, in Decatur, IL, the beloved and firstborn son of Alvin and Lennie Ruth (Perkins) Jones. Albert’s career included roles at the Decatur Park District, a local railroad company, Wagner Castings Company and Jordan’s Nursery. He married Doris Ann “Susie” (Rawls) Jones in 1977 and to this union their daughter Rochelle Ann Jones and son Ali Dwayne Jones were born.
Albert was a 1976 graduate of Dwight Eisenhower High School. He was a passionate individual who found joy in spending time with his family and watching TV shows from the 80s, Westerns and wrestling shows. Albert learned of the love of God at an early age and found spiritual solace at Community Temple Church of God in Christ.
Albert leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Rochelle Ann Jones, son Ali Dwayne Jones, siblings Stanley Jones, Brenda Jones-Smith, Dwayne Jones (Sandy), Vernadene Wells (Eddie), Dianne Jones, Alvin Lamont Jones, Charlotte Johnson (Jodie) of Decatur, IL, Donell Jones (Debra) of Mableton, GA, and 1 precious grandson, Raheim Naziyah Cobb and a host of nieces and nephews.
Albert was preceded in death by his beloved wife Doris Ann (Susie) Jones, parents - Alvin and Lennie Ruth (Perkins) Jones, sister, Toyee Manns-Thomas (Clarence) and brother-in-law, John Smith (Brenda).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at noon at the House of Miracles Pentecostal Church, 1503 N. Summit Avenue, Decatur, IL.
