Albert W. Schneider's Obituary
Al "Albert" William Schneider, 92, of Decatur died at 8:45 pm Saturday January 21, 2006 in Fairhaven Christian Home.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10 am Wednesday January 25, 2006 in Our Lady of Holy Spirit in Mount Zion where Father Joseph Molloy will celebrate. Visitation will be in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm with a prayer service at 5:30 pm. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to be given to the Building Fund at Our Lady of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements.
Albert was born on April 29, 1913, in Tell City, IN the son of Anton and Florence Stephens Schneider. He was a Welder for Bowman Welding for more than 21 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Holy Spirit of Mount Zion. He was a member of the Decatur Moose. Albert golfed and bowled for many years. He married Irene McKenzie on March 05, 1957 in Decatur, she survives.
Also surviving includes one daughter; Sue Snyder of California, one sister; Edna McKey of Decatur and three grandchildren, Lynn Ryan, Cheryl Hadland husband, Jeremy and Caroline Ryan. One new great granddaughter, Kayla Abigail Hadland.
Albert was preceded in death by both of his parents, three sisters and two brothers.
