Alice June Jorgensen's Obituary
Alice June Jorgensen, 90, of Decatur, IL, passed away September 9, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Alice was born June 3, 1930 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Robert and Kathryn (Powers) Grace. She was a 1948 graduate of Stephen Decatur High School. She married Marvin Jorgensen on June 7, 1952 in Decatur, IL.
Alice served as a legal secretary and had worked within the Macon County Court House.
Alice was an avid reader and loved music. She especially loved to cook and will be remembered for her special chocolate cake.
Surviving are her children, Sally Oldham (Don) of Morton, IL, Janie Young of Decatur, IL; sister, Joan Bennyhoff (John) of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Katie Moseley (Seth), Kevin Oldham (Linda), Jacob Ahola, Eric Ahola; great-grandchildren, Emma and Lyla Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marvin; brother, Bob Grace and sisters, Mary Shoemaker and Margaret Ross.
Graveside funeral service will be at Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Decatur, IL.
