Alice Yokley's Obituary
DECATUR – Alice Nadine Yokley , age 83, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 in Fair Havens Christian Home.
Alice was born May 30, 1930 in Decatur, IL, daughter of Archie Kenneth Virden and Catherine Minnie (Perry) Virden. Alice graduated from Stephen Decatur High School. She married Richard H. Yokley on October 3, 1948 in Decatur, IL. She was employed by Red Barton INC., as an office manager. She also was a member of the Red Hat Club, and a church member of the True Blood Methodist Church. She enjoyed decorative art painting, antiquing, collecting, traveling, and most of all, she loved to shop.
Alice leaves behind her son William (Karen) Yokley of Decatur, IL; daughter Barbara (Sterling) Morrell of Decatur, IL; five grandchildren Seth (Sara) Morrell , Jake (Kristi) Morrell, Tessa Morrell, Joe Yokley, Dana Yokley, and five great-grandchildren Ella, Gretta, Piper, Sedgwick, Tyler, and Anabelle.
She is preceded in death by her husband; and parents.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in Moran and Goebel Funeral Home 2801 N. Monroe Street, Decatur, IL 62526. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the Cancer Care Specialist of Decatur, 210 W. McKinley Ave. Decatur, IL 62526.
