Allen Jerome Richards Haddon's Obituary
Allen Jerome Richards Haddon, 62, of Decatur, passed away at 1:50 a.m. Friday, February 25, 2011 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Allen was born in Missouri the son of Robert L. Haddon and Barbara Long Haddon, he was raised in Chicago attended grade school and Hyde Park High School. He attended Junior College for a year. He started working as a stock clerk in a grocery store, later he worked for the State of Illinois for ten years. He also worked in St. Louis, MO at the Chase-Park Plaza as a waiter for five years.
Surviving are his mother, Barbara Haddon; sister, Neidra C. Machlin; half-brother, William Soils III; cousins, Sandra Johnson, Mia Jarrett, Cassandra Johnson Portee, Monte McGee, Donnie Huston, Donald Day Ragsdale, and Wendell Ragsdale; special friends, Angela Walker, Glen, Mike, and A.B. Risby.
He was preceded in death by his father, brother, Steve Haddon, grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Long, and Mr. & Mrs. Haddon.
The family would like to thank the staff at DMH ICU West for the care that was given to him.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
