Alma J. Dixon 71 of Decatur stepped into eternity and transitioned safely into the arms of Jesus her personal savior on Friday August 20, 2004 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.Homegoing services will be at noon on Wednesday August 25, 2004 in Life Changers Church with Pastor G.E. Livingston officiating. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Tuesday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. She married Fountain Leroy Dixon Sr. on June 10, 1950. She confessed belief at Trinity CME Church and later years joined the Church of the Living God. In February of 1998 she began and served faithfully at Life Changers Church. Alma was a homemaker and a devoted mother. She loved her family unconditionally. Her laughter and optimism will be missed. She loved to cook for others especially her cakes and pies. She enjoyed taking care of kids and extending her love to many. She touched many lives and was mother and grandmother to many including her many nieces and nephews.She leaves to cherish fond memories five sons, Rodney Dixon, Marlon Dixon, Lynn Dixon, Fountain Leroy Jr., and James Dixon all of Decatur; sister, Shirley Hughes and husband Rev. Marshall Hughes of Decatur; brother, John N. Williams of Decatur; grandchildren, Sicory of Indianapolis, IN; Victoria of West Memphis, AR; William and Christi both of Decatur two great grandchildren, a special granddaughter, G-Kya Plato and a host of other family and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, one son, and one daughter.
