Alma A. Rhoades' Obituary
Decatur – Alma A. Rhoades, 91, of Decatur, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Alma was born May 10, 1925 in Palmer, MI, the daughter of Victor and Hilma (Olforse) Hakala. She was a member of the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church and worked as a telephone operator for G.E. Alma married Junior Rhoades in October of 1946.
Surviving is her husband, Junior of Decatur; children: Dale (Betty) Rhoades, Gloria (Myron) Thompson, and R. Dean (Marvetta) Rhoades of Decatur; daughter-in-law Beverly Rhoades of Decatur; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Gonzales of WA; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents; son, Darrell; one sister and two brothers.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 12 pm until the service time of 1 pm in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church of Kenosha, WI.
