Alonzo Pickett's Obituary
Alonzo Pickett, 51, of Decatur, has been called back to Heaven on Sunday, March 1, 2020, from the St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
He was born December 10, 1968, to James Allen and Geralyn (Newsom) Pickett.
Alonzo is survived by his mother, Geralyn Whitelow; his four sisters, Virginia Pickett, Mattie Bond, Barbara (Antonio) Beard and Regina Bradford; two brothers, James (Julie Jones) Pickett and Roger (Virginia Fuller) Pickett; his aunt Amanda Pickett; and a host of nieces, nephews and other immediate family.
He was preceded in death by his father and his step-father, Johnny Lee Whitelow.
Baby brother Alonzo, we know God called you back home to be with him. We love and miss you. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts. Rest in Heavenly Peace.
Homegoing services to celebrate the life of Alonzo Pickett will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2020, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
