Alvira M. Radley's Obituary
Alvira M. Radley, 86, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 in her home with her family by her side.
Alvira was born September 3, 1930 in Litchfield, Illinois the daughter of Harry
and Lydia (Bishop) Wilson. She was employed with BorgWarner and Marvel-Schebler retiring with over thirty years of service. Alvira enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, square dancing, and visiting Disney World with her family. She married Thomas C. Radley June 22, 1954. He preceded her in death May 28, 2013.
Alvira leaves behind her son Jerry Radley and wife Lisa, sister Nelma Roach, brother Jerry Wilson, grandchildren Erin Alderson and husband Brandon, Kristin Drollinger and husband Brett, Megan Romano and husband Ben, Alicia Leefers and husband Matt, Ryan Bennett and wife Allie, and Jordan Bennett, and eight loving great-grandchildren.
Alvira was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, and six sisters.
Services to celebrate Alvira’s life will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM prior to the services. Burial will be at a later date in Garver Cemetery.
