Anita L. Conlee's Obituary
Decatur-Anita L. Conlee, 59, of Decatur, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014 in her home with her family by her side.
She was born July 15, 1955 in Taylorville, Illinois the daughter of Duane and Jacqueline (Knott) Tolliver. She was previously employed as a LPN in the ER at DMH for over eighteen years. She then worked at DMH Home Healthcare for the last seven years. She attended Heartland Community Church and enjoyed reading. She married Don Conlee January 19, 1974. He preceded her in death May 4, 2011.
She leaves behind her daughters Michelle Conlee of Decatur, Samantha (Douglas) Shaw of Oreana, and Kelly (Travis) Carnes of Decatur, brother David (Joyce) Tolliver of Wisconsin, sisters Victoria (John) Graham of Stonington and Christine Newberry of New Hampshire, grandchildren Payton, Kaleb, Hailey, Malik, Lucas, Joseph, and Maxwell, and one great-grandchild on the way.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents and husband.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Esparaz and the nurses and staff at Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois and to the nurses and staff with DMH Hospice especially Angie and Diane.
Anita was a very caring and loving person that was loved by everyone she knew and will be greatly missed.
Services to celebrate Anita’s life will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, 2801 N. Monroe St. Decatur. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
