Annie Mae Batchelor's Obituary
Annie Mae Batchelor, 76, of Decatur, loving mother, wife, and daughter, received her crown and entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007.
Homegoing services will be 11 am Wed, Jan. 24, 2007, at Northside Baptist Church, Rev. Marshall Hughes officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Annie was born on Nov 18, 1930, in Brownsville, TN, the daughter of Willie Mae Weddle. She moved to Decatur in the mid 1960's and joined Northside Baptist Church. Annie was a homemaker who married John L. Batchelor on Nov 27, 1958 in Corinth, MS; he preceded her in death on July 2, 2005.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, her sons: Calvin Shirley Outlaw of Kansas City, MO, Edward Batchelor of Decatur, and Samuel Batchelor of Indianapolis, IN; daughters: Mary Stone and Carolyn Pete Cole all of Decatur; mother, Willie Mae Weddle of Brownsville, TN; grandchildren: Brandis Outlaw, Tretez Cole, Travis Cole and Samuel Batchelor, Jr.; brothers: Tommy Lee Mary Outlaw of Gary, IN, L.C. Myrtle Outlaw of Decatur, and Roy Weddle of Brownsville, TN; special Aunt, Maude Mabon of Brownsville, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Annie was preceded in death by her father, husband and one son, Lee Timothy Batchelor.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Dr. George Duncan and his staff, St. John's Hospice, staff at CHELP, and the following caregivers: Rachael Dear, LaVonne Murphy, Rosa Lacey, Lanita Moore and Helen Parker.
The family of Annie Mae Batchelor is being served by the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2801 N. Monroe St. Decatur.
