Arthur D. “Art” JR” Hawkins Jr. 38 of Decatur died at 9:15 am Wednesday October 29, 2008 in his home.
A memorial visitation will be 3:00 ' 5:00 pm Sunday November 2, 2008 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers donation may be made to the family.
Arthur was born on July 1, 1970 in Decatur. He attended Stephen Decatur High School and received his GED in 1988. He loved motorcycles, the Green Bay Packers and fishing. He worked as a clerk at different stores in Macon and Piatt County.
Surviving are his father, Arthur Hawkins, Sr. of Decatur; mother, Bertie Hawkins of Bement; aunts, Twilla Jacobs James of Long Creek; Pat Upton Wayne of Bement; Uncles, Everett Burcham Jr. Joyce of Decatur; John Burcham Debbie of Decatur; many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Everett and Pauline Burcham; paternal grandparents, Opal Hawkins and Arthur Garrison; three uncles, James Jacobs, Floyd Hawkins, and Bud Hawkins; and one aunt, Frances Hawkins.
The family of Arthur D. Hawkins Jr. is being served by Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2801 N. Monroe Street, Decatur, Illinois.
