I remember playing football with aray back in 8th grade, I struggled with my asthma during practice's and games, and he was always there to help me learn new way to be able to breathe and keep pushing through each game, he was one of my best and closest friends we fell off and lost touch when I moved away in 2008, and ever since then I've regreted letting our friendship fall off like that I tried to get back in contact a few time's but we always had different schedules with things so it was hard, he's an amazing friend, former teammate, and a great overall person I'm honored and blessed to have had him be apart of my life and he always will continue to be, I'm so sorry for your guys loss I'll pray to help you guys through this difficult time and if you ever need to talk you are always more than welcome to message me on fb, I miss you a ray #36 you'll never be forgotten. I played football with A Ray from his freshman to junior year. I wouldn't of wanted another running back to block for. He was an amazing back, and an even better man. I'd give anything to be on the field with him again. Prayers and love to the family. Thinking of you and him often.
It was my pleasure to teach Austin at Mt. Zion High School. He was one of a kind. What impressed me the most was that no matter how talented or popular he was, he never acted like he was better than anyone else. His passing has hurt my heart and he will always remain one of the students I will remember forever. My prayers and love go out to his family, and especially his friends- those kids I got to see him with every day.
