Avalon Rose Sullivan, 87, of, Mt. Zion, died 8:10 am,
Thursday, December 3, 2009 AD at St. MaryÃ?¯Ã?¿Ã?½s Hospital.
Prayer Service will be at 11:30am Wednesday, December 9, 2009 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
Avalon was born in San Diego, California daughter of Mary Catherine and Dewey Williamson. She was a professional artist, and ESL English as a Second Language teacher at the Alaska Literacy Program. She was a lifetime member of the General Federation of Womens Club Decatur Chapter.
Surviving are husband, Robert; daughter, Bonnie Drumm and her husband Michael; sister, Dawne Wood; brother, Dewey Williamson Jr.; nine grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lorene Schmitz, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Drumm.
