Barbar J. Williams' Obituary
Barbara J. Williams, formerly of Cairo, IL departed this life at 1:30am on Thursday May 1, 2008 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Barbara moved to Decatur, IL in July 2007.
Barbara was born on Feb. 5, 1945 to the union of Sammy and Jinnie Williams. She attended Cairo Public Schools and Shawnee Community College. Barbara united with the New Millennium Faith Church of the Living God. She loved her church family and the Lord.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Jinnie Morris of Decatur, IL; two sisters, Bettye Bondurant and Jessie Lucas of Decatur, IL; two daughters, Devonne Larry Howard of Tamms, IL; Rowtonda Vernon Bantum of Texas; three sons, Eldrit Williams of Lexington, KY; Patrick Williams of Decatur, IL; Arlan Bobby Williams of Springfield, IL; eight grandchildren; a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews; special friends, Elder Marty and Joyce Warren, and Missionary Earnestine Hill.
The family would like to thank St Mary’s and DMH emergency staff, Decatur Ambulance, and caregivers Ruby Winters and Cassandra Smith.
Homegoing services will be 12:00 pm Monday May 5, 2008 in New Millennium Faith Church of the Living God with Rev. Todd McClelland officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the church.
