Barbara Jean Adams' Obituary
Barbara Jean Adams, 75, of Sullivan passed away November 10, 2021 at Eastview Terrace, Sullivan, IL.
Barbara was born August 17, 1946 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Barton and Norma Jean (Larus) Gharrett. She married Leroy Nathaniel Rodgers and he preceded her in death. She married her second husband, Arthur Adams and he preceded her in death as well.
Barbara was a long time employee of Wal-Mart, covering many departments with her service.
She enjoyed time with her family, loved going to McDonald’s, going to thrift stores and feeding the ducks. She was also known to be quite a jokester.
Surviving are her children, Norma Heckman of Decatur, IL, Madonna Adams of Decatur, IL; sister, Janice Kay Gharrett of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Alisha Brohez of Lovington, IL, Tabatha Griffin (Douglas) of Decatur, IL, Aryanna Islami (Luftin) of Decatur, IL, Taylianna Morgan of Decatur, IL; great grandchildren, William Brohez, Arisah Reynolds, Ryland Ahmed, Millicent Islami, Rosalie Griffin, and Octavia Brooks.
She was further preceded by both parents, one daughter, Laura Lynn and two sisters, Linda and Donna and grandchild, Halie Riley.
Private services will be held at a later date.
The Moran and Goebel Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Barbara.
