Barbara C. Bock's Obituary
Decatur-Barbara C. Bock, 80, of Decatur went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Decatur Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Barbara was born August 17, 1936 in Moweaqua, Illinois, the daughter of Rhea Frank and Daisy (Fisher) Boliek. She retired from St. Mary’s Hospital after thirty-five years of service. Barbara was a member of the Lovington Church of God. She enjoyed cooking, making candy and afghans, listening to southern gospel music, and playing games. Barbara married Robert Clifford Bock.
Barbara is survived by her children Debbie (Rev. Greg) Mathias of Blue Mound, Mike Bock of Mexico, Missouri, Charlene (Rev. Rodney) Houser of Lovington, Pam Munson of Decatur, and Brian Bock of Pekin, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, three brothers, and one sister.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Fair Havens Christian Home and ICU at DMH for all of their loving care.
Services to celebrate Barbara’s life will be 2:00 PM Monday, July 10, 2017 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12-2 PM prior to the services. Burial with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Lovington Church of God or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
