Barbara Louise Kinder Paine died Thursday, April 21, 2022, at her home in Decatur after a short illness. She was 95 years old. Barbara was born in Chicago, IL on Dec. 16, 1926, to Florence Rothman Kinder and Bern Benton Kinder. Du Read Obituary
A friend shared a video with a marker for Barbara Paine that she filmed at Rock Springs. Many of us recognized Mrs. Paine as our high school librarian from Maroa Forsyth. I send my condolences to the family. I remember Mrs. Paine and her gentle guidance. She was warm and patient, a lovely person.
Barbara and her husband Ed Paine were very kind to me. I came here from Wisconsin visiting my mother in Warrensburg. I liked dancing, and Barbara and Ed took me with them several times to square dances in the area. It was really very good of them to do this. They were generous and very neighborly. Good folks.
