Barbara D. Uhll's Obituary
Barbara D. Uhll, 82, of Decatur, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013, in McKinley Court Nursing Home, Decatur.
Barbara was born July 4, 1931, in Atwood, the daughter of Henry and LaVina H. (Shook) Shonkwiler. She worked as a nurse for many years at DMH and Heritage Health in Mt. Zion, and was a member of First Christian Church, N.A.R.F.E., and V.F.W. Post #99 auxiliary. Barbara married Donald L. Uhll March 25, 1955, in Decatur and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.
Surviving is her children: Mary husband, Phillip Short of Decatur, Curtis wife, Diane Uhll of Zion and Larry Uhll of Decatur; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sister, Myra Sue Harshbarger of WY; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Funeral service: 10 am, Friday, August 30, 2013 in the funeral home.
