Barry Dean McMillan's Obituary
Barry Dean McMillan, 79, of Shelbyville, IL passed away August 24, 2023 at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham, IL.
Barry was born January 10, 1944 in Mattoon, IL the son of Bonnie Harrison and Georgia Alberta (Crockett) McMillan. He married Betty Teske and she preceded him in death.
Barry was a veteran of the US NAVY. As a civilian, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Madison County Excavating.
During his leisure time he loved to drive to scenic places, and visit family and friends from all over the country.
Surviving are his children, LLonna Fultz (Erik) of Sullivan, IL, Barry Brown (Christine) of Shelbyville, IL, Jaime Cruz of Columbia, MO, grandchildren, Tabitha Fultz, Jesika Fultz, Drew Fultz, Dalton Brown, Kayley Nees, Brittney Brown, Brittany Cruz, Jacob Cruz, Allie Cruz, Isabel Cruz, Felix Cruz; 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, Cecil “Zeke” McMillan and sister, Avis Wheeler.
A private Celebration of Life, with burial at Camp Butler National Cemetery, will be announced at a later date.
The Moran and Goebel Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Barry.
