Bernadine Douglas 83 of Decatur, IL died Thursday December 7, 2006 in her home surrounded by her family.
Homegoing services will be 11:00 am Friday December 15, 2006 in Greater Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Waddell officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm Thursday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Bernadine was born on December 25, 1922 in Brownsville, TN the daughter of Freddie Campbell and Alice Taylor. She was member of Greater Northside Baptist Church. She was also former member of the Elks Lodge in Chicago, IL.
She leaves to cherish precious memories her daughters, Mary Alice Williams of Indianapolis; BrendaDouglasReed of Decatur; stepdaughter, Rosa Bond of Decatur; sons, Avers Vernell Douglas, Mike Arthur Brown of Decatur; sister, Edna Owens of Decatur; special nephew Marcus Lin Dunlap.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, one daughter and one granddaughter.
The family would like to thank DMH Hospice for their compassion and kindness.
