Betty Joan Ashford's Obituary
Betty Joan Ashford, 88, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away August 22, 2025.
Betty was born in Chicago on July 1, 1937, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Bausch) Haselsteiner. She married Porter Francis Ashford on October 4, 1958, in Glenview, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 2020.
Betty worked as an administrative assistant for Stifel Investment Services. She was a frequent visitor to the Senior Center and enjoyed Bunco, bridge, and crossword puzzles. She was a faithful member of Holy Family Parish.
Betty is survived by her daughters Julie Smith and Lisa (Brian) Innis; siblings Robert Haselsteiner and Mary Ann Falkenberg; and grandchildren Clark Smith, Hannah Innis, and Emma Innis. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
