Betty A. Colvin's Obituary
Betty A. Colvin, 77, of Decatur died on Monday January 23, 2006 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be 11 am Saturday January 28, 2006 in Grace United Methodist Church, where visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Betty was born on September 24, 1928 in Paintsville, KY the daughter of Arnold David and Dorothy Lee Spears Stapleton. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She worked in the clerical department at Caterpillar. Betty married Fred T. Colvin, Sr. on May 10, 1947 in Lousia, KY. and he preceded her in death on November 02, 2005.
Betty is survived by her children; Fred Colvin, Jr. wife, Cecilia of Kasilof, AK; Dave Colvin wife, Debbie of Brentwood, TN; daughters: Cheryl Herigodt husband, Rich of Freeburg; and Judy Manners of Forsyth; brother, Danny Gerald Sturgill of Indiana; sister, Virginia Caudill of East Moline. Grandchildren include Jay Herigodt wife, Joy of O'Fallon, MO; Judith Herigodt of Freeburg; Randy Colvin of Oregon; Tobias Colvin of the U.S. Virgin Islands; Christina Colvin of Arizona; Meredith Colvin of Nashville, TN; and one great granddaughter, Julia Christine Herigodt.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers, David Lee Stapleton, John Harris Patrick and 1 sister, Marietta Patrick.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She has now returned to be with the Love of her life.
