Betty June English's Obituary
Betty June English, 81, of Decatur, went to be with her Lord on Monday January 25, 2016, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service to celebrate Junes life will be 11 AM Saturday, January 30, 2016 in Moran and Goebel Funeral Home, 2801 N. Monroe Ave, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 9-11 AM Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park, Decatur, IL. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer Association.
June was born July 27, 1934 in Macedonia IL the daughter of Clarence Ezra and Audrey (Whetstone) Hart. She married Jerry L. English on Nov. 7, 1954 in Decatur, IL. He survives.
Surviving are two children, Jeri (Jack) Coleman of Thonotosassa, FL; and Leanne (Bryan) Atteberry of Decatur; four grandchildren, Jesse Coleman, James Coleman and Josiah Coleman of FL; Christopher (Holly) Guy of Decatur; four brothers, Ralph (Carolyn) Hart of Princeton; Ernie (June) Hart Lady of the Lake, FL; Gary(Norma) Hart of Bloomington; and Bobby (Chris) Hart of Tucson, AZ; two sisters, Mary (Bob) Underwood of Decatur; and Kay Hinton of Lady of the Lake, FL; two step-grandchildren, Nicholas Atteberry and Andrew Atteberry; and 3 great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, James Hart; and three sisters, Joan Jones, Linda Cole, and infant Norma Hart.
June was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Decatur, IL. She spent her life as a loving wife, caring mother, perfect homemaker and exceptional seamstress. She loved to go fishing and site seeing with her husband.
The family would like to thank all the Nurses and CNA’s at Symphony Nursing Home for her care the last three years. Also the Nurses and Doctors at DMH for their loving care in her final moments.
