Betty J. Ferguson's Obituary
Betty J. Ferguson, age 82 of Decatur passed away January 5, 2004 at 3:45 pm in the Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services celebrating her life will be 1 pm Thursday January 8, 2004 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Haxton officiating, where visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 pm. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to: American Diabetes Association.

Betty was born on June 11, 1921 in Decatur, the daughter of Arthur E. and Lucy Morris Hepworth. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Decatur. She was a member of the American Legion Post # 105 Ladies Auxiliary. She married Kenneth Ferguson on August 23, 1941 in Decatur; he preceded her in death on January 29, 2001. Betty worked for a number of years at General Electric then finally working as a clerk at Wagner Credit Union before retiring in 1980.
Betty is survived by: Her son; Michael Ferguson and wife Gena of Arizona, daughters; Sharon Reynolds and husband Larry of Decatur, Rhonda Ferguson of Carterville, Illinois, brother; Dick Hepworth and wife Florence of Colorado, sister; Dorothy Ray of Decatur, IL, 9grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
The family of Betty would like to thank the Drs and nurses at DMH for her care. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
