Betty Jean Flagg Coleman, 49, of Decatur, passed from this life on Thursday, March 18, 2004, in Decatur.
Homegoing services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2004 in the North Jasper Church of Christ, Brother Mayo Towles officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Betty was born on June 28, 1954 in Brownsville, TN. to the union of Rufus and Rosie Howell Flagg. She was a homemaker and a member of North Jasper Church of Christ. She married Joe Sam Coleman in 1977 and he passed from this life on November 09, 2003.
She leaves not to mourn, but to cherish fond memories, her son, Patrick Coleman of Decatur; mother, Rosie Flagg of Decatur; sisters: Rosie Shaw, Helen Manns husband Lester, Gloria Dinkins, Martha Flagg, and Dorothy Flagg all of Decatur; Cecelia Flagg, Lula Flagg Braggs, and Christine Flagg all of East St. Louis; brothers: Thomas Shaw and Curtis Flagg both of Decatur; Rufus Flagg of St. Louis, MO; and Jerry Flagg of Decatur; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her father and husband preceded her in death.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Bailey, Dr. Bradley, Dr. Garcia, Dr. Patel and Dr. Collins.
