Betty Jo Nicholls' Obituary
I lost my mother, and my children lost their grandmother when Betty Jo Nicholls passed away at 4:22am on February 22, 2025, at the age of 91.
She was born the daughter of Omar Weatherford and Ethel Ellen (Hamm) Weatherford on October 25, 1933. She was a hairdresser for 51 years.
She leaves behind her daughter Sue Ellen Siburt (Stephen); grandchildren Michael Davis (Tedra), Lori Lyons (Alex), and Samantha Weaver (Marcus); 6 great-grandchildren; stepsons Mark, David, and Pete Nicholls; sister Cheryl Harlin; and nieces Kim, Kelly, and Billie and their husbands, whom I want to thank for helping with Mom, and also Pete for all the things you did for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband E. E. Pete Nicholls, son Mark Mull, and stepson Tim Nicholls.
Graveside services will take place at 11am on Wednesday, March 5, at Point Pleasant Cemetery in Long Creek, Illinois. There will be no visitation. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.moranandgoebel.com.
