Betty Doris Wiley's Obituary
Betty Doris Wiley, 79, of Decatur, passed away August 12, 2023, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Betty was born in Brownsville, Tennessee, on May 24, 1944, the daughter of Otis and Mary Neal (Jackson) Hines. She graduated from Carver High School in Brownsville, TN. She married James Thomas Wiley on June 20, 1963. She later moved to Decatur, Illinois, and raised six children. She worked as a child care provider and was a member of Grace Apostolic Ministry. Her favorite times were spent caring for her family and listening to music.
Betty is survived by her children James Wiley, Kimberly Wiley, Tammy Johnson, Teresa Wiley, Tracy Thomas, and Stephanie Wiley, all of Decatur; brother Otis (Marie) Hines of Decatur; sister-in-law Laverne Hines; 20 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brothers Roden Hines and Robert Earl Hines; nephew Rollin Hines; and granddaughter Nicole Wiley.
Services for Betty will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10am to 11am. Homegoing service will begin at 11am. Entombment in Fairlawn Mausoleum will follow the service.
