Betty N. Winchester's Obituary
Betty N. Winchester, 91, of Sullivan, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Betty was born April 28, 1927, in Decatur, to Fred and Mable (Dodsworth) VanHyning. She married James L. Winchester on May 7, 1948 in Decatur. He passed away October 19, 1989.
She is survived by her two daughters, Vicki Winchester of Indianapolis, IN and Diane (Duane) Gilman of Dalton City, IL; one son, Michael J. Winchester of Decatur, IL; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; her daughter, Debbie Wingard; one great-granddaughter and one sister.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Betty Winchester will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home 2801 North Monroe Street, Decatur, IL 62526. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association 2309 W White Oaks Dr Suite E, Springfield, IL 62704.
