Beverly J. Williams' Obituary
Beverly J. Williams, 60, of Decatur, entered the Kingdom of Glory Tuesday, April 11, 2017, in Decatur Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Beverly was born on August 24, 1956 in Decatur, the daughter of James Clark and Bernice (McGee) Mills. Beverly received Christ at an early age and was a member of The Church of the Living God Temple # 2. She was a home care provider for many years until her health started to decline.
Beverly is survived by her daughters, LaWanda Mayes of Decatur and Tenecia Sigler of Decatur; sisters, Oluwabunmi Rosaland L Toney-Currie (Assami) Nikiema of Aurora, CO, Ella Louise Toney-Elbert of Milwaukee, WI, Toccarro Mills of Decatur; brothers, Julian C. Mills of Decatur, Roosevelt Mills of Decatur, James Frazier of Decatur; two grandsons, Jaylen Mays and Deontae Mays both of Decatur; a special cousin, Ann Marie Wilder; a special friend, Alberta Fitzpatrick; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Louise Mills; husband, Anthony Williams; sister, minister Jamie B. Leggions; grandparents, Sam and Odessa Sayles; grandson, Devontae Mays.
The family would like to give special thanks to Memorial Medical Center Transplant Team and Decatur Memorial Hospital for their services.
Homegoing services to celebrate the life of Beverly J. Williams will be 12 noon Saturday, April 22, 2017, at The Church of the Living God Temple #2. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. noon at the church before the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Memorial Medical Center
