Billie D Cook's Obituary
Decatur-Mr. Billie D. Cook, 53, was called home at 7:48 pm Friday, September 30, 2011 in his home with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, October 7, 2011 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park and conclude with the “Flight Home” ceremony.
Billie was born on August 17, 1958 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben and Kathleen Cook. He worked 23 years at Taylor Transfer and Moving Company. He also enjoyed family gatherings with his family and friends on Waggoner Street.
He is survived by his brothers, William A. Cook of Decatur; Larry Christine Cook of Austin, Texas; Vincent Shonda Cook of Swansea, IL; Terry Ecila Cook of Decatur; sister, Linda Cook White; daughters, Tameika Smith, Stefanie Cunningham of Decatur; 8 nieces, 8 nephews, 21 great-nieces and great-nephews, 3 grandchildren, special cousin Wayne Cook, and home care worker, Peggy Trimuel.
Billie was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Katie Cook, Brother, Jackie Cook and grandson Cordero Stewart.
The family would like to thank Cancer Care Specialists, DMH Hospice, Dr Estrada-Garcia, Dr. Depaz, and Dr. Dold. The family would also like to thank all the family and friends that showed concern to the cook family during their time of bereavement.
