Bobby Eugene Davis' Obituary
Bobby Eugene Davis, 62, of Decatur, passed away September 10, 2023, in the company of his loving wife.
Bobby was born in Prentiss, Mississippi, on January 1, 1961, the son of Anna Bell Dampeer. He married Venessa Ann Landrum on February 28, 2005, in Decatur, Illinois. He was a member of Solid Rock Church in Decatur. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, gardening, basketball, wrestling, and traveling.
Bobby leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Venessa Davis; his daughter Shatonia Garrison; his grandsons Devon Garrison and Davonne Edmonds Jr. of Decatur, IL; his sisters Shirley (Pelley) Williams of Decatur, IL, Annette Lockhart of Decatur, IL, Flozetta (Raymond) Taylor of Decatur, IL, Andra Buckley and Anna Buckley of Decatur, IL; his brother John L. Lockhart and companion Chenise Hamilton of Decatur, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. He was preceded in death by his mother Anna Bell Buckley, mother-in-law Laura Rowe, and several uncles, aunts, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
Special thanks to Bobby’s niece Kizzy Lockhart for the loving care she gave her uncle. Thanks also to Sister Allie and Brother Charles Walker and to the ambulance service workers.
Visitation for Bobby will begin at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, September 19 at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. A graveside service in Fairlawn Cemetery will follow the visitation. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.moranandgoebel.com.
