Bobby Dean Ellis' Obituary
Bobby Dean Ellis, 49 of Decatur passed away 7:45 pm Thursday, January 20, 2011 at his residence.
Services to celebrate Bobby’s life will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Joel Ruppert officiating. Services will conclude with the “Flight Home” ceremony. Visitation will be from 12:30 – 1:45 pm Tuesday at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be directed to the family. Bobby was born on July 6, 1961 in Vandalia, IL the son of William E. and Mary Jane Roberts Ellis. Bobby attended MacArthur High School in Decatur. He was an auto enthusiast and had worked as an auto mechanic.
Left to cherish Bobby’s memories are his son Bobby Allen Ellis and his daughter Mandy Ellis both formerly of Decatur; his brothers Larry wife – Janet Ellis of Decatur, Keith Ellis of Decatur, Delbert Ellis of Decatur, Darrell wife – Joy Ellis of Decatur and Ronnie wife – Twila Ellis of Alabama; his sisters Judy husband – Ed Taylor of Decatur, Sharon husband -Steve Brown of Argenta, Brenda and late husband Joe Garner of Decatur, Janice Durbin of Decatur, Betty Jimmy Palmer of Decatur, and Barbara Ernst of Decatur, also several nieces and nephews.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents William Ellis and Mary J. Davis; his brother, Jerry Ellis his sister in infancy, Linda Kay Ellis; his nephew Thomas Sims; and his niece Melissa Ellis.
