Booker T. Horges' Obituary
Booker T. Horges 68, of Decatur departed this life on July 9, 2014 at Vibra Hospital Springfield, IL.
Booker was born July 6, 1946 in Roundlake MS, to Jack and Evelyn (Haywood) Peoples. Booker attended and graduated from Eisenhower High School where he was an outstanding basketball player. Booker loved spending time with family and loved to cook.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his life: Carolyn Johnson (significant other); daughters, Shawn Horges Graham(Fred) of Little Rock, AR, LaMeeca Horges, of Milwaukee WI; Cynthia Howell(Gabe), Tricia Horges (Montez) and Kalisha Horges, all of Decatur, IL; son: Booker T. Horges Jr. of Milwaukee, WI; brother, Robert(Melinda) Peoples; sisters, Shirley Peoples (Tom) and Willie Mae Brady of Decatur, IL. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews (special niece Kimberly Lawson).
He was preceded in death by both parents, one sister and one brother.
A memorial service will be held on 6 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home prior to service. Graveside Memorial to follow on a later date.
