Brad Allen Barker's Obituary
Decatur-Brad Allen Barker, 39, of Decatur, passed away at 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, in St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was born November 1, 1974 in Decatur the son of Glen Barker and wife Donna and Gaila (Brooks) Felton and husband Bud. He was a welder for Kelly Construction with over twenty years of service. He loved motorcycles and was a member of the Bond-Slaves Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing the drums. He married Debbie Beck April 16, 1994 in Decatur. They shared over twenty years together.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Debbie, daughter Lauren Barker, parents Glen and Donna Barker and Gaila and Bud Felton, brother Rick Felton, sisters Shelly Rich, Ginger Mills, Carrie Merris, Michelle Lutz and Amber Barker, many Bond-Slave Brothers, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Velasco and the nurses and staff at Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois and St. Mary’s Hospital for all of their loving care.
Services to celebrate Brad’s life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Maranatha Assembly of God, 555 W. Imboden, with Pastor Doug Lowery officiating. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. prior to the services at the church. Brad will be dressed in casual attire so we ask the same of you. A memorial ride will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family in c/o Debbie Barker.
