Brandon R. Read-Glass' Obituary
Brandon R. Read-Glass, 18, of Decatur, went peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father Sunday, April 1, 2007, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Homegoing services celebrating his life will be 12 pm Friday, April 6, 2007 at St. Peters A.M.E. Church. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service in the church with burial in Graceland Cemetery.
Brandon was born July 16, 1988 in Decatur, the son of Tara R. Read and Timothy P. Glass. He was a member of St. Peters A.M.E. Church and had finished his graduation requirements at MacArthur High School in December of 2006. He loved computers, playing any sports, especially basketball; spending time with his uncle, Justin, his grandparents, and his sister, Autumn; playing his XBOX 360 and helping others.
He leaves to cherish fond memories his mother, Tara R. Read of Decatur; father, Timothy P. Glass and step-mother, Favian Adams both of Decatur; sisters: Autumn Read and Timyia Adams both of Decatur; grandparents: Harvey Geneal Williams of Decatur; great grandparents: Willie Hickman, and Neal Elnora Flinn all of Decatur; aunts: Stephanie Lamar Rudd of Atlanta, GA, Sharese Kidd, and Michelle Honorable both of Decatur; uncles: Justin Williams and Harvey Williams, Jr. both of Decatur, William Glass of Louisville, KY, Marlon Glass of Muncie, IN, Bobby Janice Phillips of Louisville, KY, and William Hickman of Danville; great aunts: Erma Flinn of Decatur, and Rosemary Don Vacca of Peoria; great uncles: James Flinn, Steve Randa Miller, and Willie Earl Miller all of Decatur; special cousins: Stacy Slaw and Jalen Rudd both of Atlanta, GA; Harvey Williams, Jr. and Michelle Honorable; a host of other relatives and friends.
Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; uncles: Willie Flinn, Robert Earl Flinn and Robert Lee Flinn; great-great grandmother, Mary Parker Flinn.
The family would like to thank Decatur Memorial Hospital's Administration, Doctor's, Nurses, Cath Lab, and entire staff for all of their prayers and support during this difficult time.
