Burnette Goff's Obituary
Decatur-Burnette Goff, 85, of Decatur, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Burnette was born April 27, 1929 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Martin and Mary (Rosetto) Endrizzi. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and attended St. Patrick School. She was previously employed as a nurse’s aide at the old St. Mary’s Hospital and as a meat cutter with Kaufman and Eastern Meat Packing Company. She was also a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. Burnette enjoyed bingo, animals, crocheting, and had the gift of gab. She loved to talk to people. She married Henry Goff and they shared over forty-five years together.
She leaves behind her husband Henry of Decatur, children Linda (Bill) Henderson of Decatur, Cheryl McBride of Decatur, Sue Ann Endrizzi of St. Louis, Missouri, and Thomas (Angie) Goff of Decatur, brothers Rudy (Beverly) Endrizzi of Decatur and Martin Endrizzi of Decatur, sister Grace F. Schroat of Decatur, and several loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, brother John Endrizzi, sister Esther Clevenger, and son John Endrizzi.
Funeral liturgy to celebrate Burnette’s life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services. Burial with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery.
