Calvin Wayne Maple's Obituary
Calvin Wayne Maple, 80, of Decatur, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Calvin was born August 15, 1939, in Decatur, IL to Clifford Russell and Jennie Ida (O’Hara) Maple. He proudly served in the United States Army. Calvin worked for Decatur Tent & Awning for many years. He was the owner and operator for C & D Janitorial and Maples Janitorial. Calvin loved NASCAR, the Chicago Cubs, watching old westerns, Counting Cars, Duck Dynasty and American Pickers.
He is survived by his loving companion of 40 years, Patricia Lane; his daughters, Brenda Maple, Billie Jean Landers, Bobbie JoAnn Gillian; his son, Shawn Lane; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; and his sister, DeVera Weatherford.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Shonda Maple; his grandson, Matthew Wayne Cooper; and his sister, Sandra Webber.
Graveside services to celebrate the life of Calvin Maple will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Lester Barnett Cemetery in Long Creek. Memorials may be directed to Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois 210 W McKinley Ave # 1, Decatur, IL 62526.
